Electric Power Systems Technician

67-20 Power Systems Technician (Electric): We are looking for a team member to join our Generation & Transmission division. This position is part of a defined progression plan with defined pay increases as skills and knowledge are gained through on the job training as well as specific certifications and licenses. In this position, the successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks involved in the operation and maintenance of the natural gas-fired, reciprocating engine electrical power generation plant and electrical distribution substations. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. One year experience performing work related tasks such as reciprocating engine power plant operation and maintenance, substation operation and maintenance, electrical, metal fabrication, pipe fitting, or general construction practices is preferred. Schedule: Position requires working various shifts, on-call rotation for after-hours response duties, and may include overtime. Pay Range: $19.67-$32.48 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits package. Public Works Supervisor

The City of Mount Hope is seeking applications for one full-time position as a Supervisor in the Public Works Department. The position will involve, but not be limited to, utility service maintenance, street work and general maintenance of city equipment and property.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience related to public works or related field
  • Must have a valid State of Kansas Driver’s License
  • Physical requirement: must be able to lift 75 pounds
  • Must reside preferably within the City of Mount Hope
  • KDHE Certifications in water and waste water preferred at the time of hire or attained within one year of employment.
  • Proven experience with high voltage preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and a United States Citizen

Water & Wastewater Operator

The City of Maize Public Works Department is accepting applications for a full time Water and Wastewater Operator. This is a Head Operator position of which is responsible for overseeing, operating, and maintaining the city’s water and sewer infrastructure systems including drinking water disinfection and distribution system, lift stations, sewer collection system, and wastewater treatment plant.

Water Plant Operator

Salary: $16.19 - $25.45

The City of Emporia, Kansas is accepting applications for licensed Water Plant Operators III & IV. Under the supervision of the Water Plant Manager, the Water Plant Operator performs technical and skilled work in the operation of the water pumping stations and treatment plant and related equipment. This individual inspects and operates electrical control boards, motors, pumps, meters, clarifiers, and related equipment; calculates dosage and adjusts treatment in accordance with prescribed standards of the laboratory; regulates valves and observes flow dials; keeps daily log of shift operations; reads gauges, and records information shown; draws test samples for water analysis; and assists mechanics in maintenance operations. Applicants must have the ability to obtain a Kansas State Water Certification III or IV within one year or already possess certification.

Journeyman Lineman

The City of Coffeyville, Kansas, is seeking a Journeyman Lineman in Electric Distribution. Must have current journeyman certification, verifiable work history including troubleshooting and a safe working/driving record. CDL license with air brake rider or ability to obtain is required. Passing physical exam including drug test is required.
