Electronics Technician

54-18- Electronics Technician (City of Stillwater Electric Utility): Perform a variety of skilled tasks involved in the maintenance, modification, operation, and upgrading of the instrumentation, controls, and communications systems of Stillwater Electric Utility’s Power Generation Station and electric substations. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. EET degree or degree in a closely related field is preferred. One year of responsible experience in working with electronics, instrumentation, controls, and communication is preferred. Previous experience working in a power generation station or in electrical substations is preferred. Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7am-5:30pm and may include overtime. Starting rate: $35.68 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits package. A completed City of Stillwater application is required for consideration. Power Systems Technician I

53-18 Power Systems Technician I (City of Stillwater Electric Utility): Perform a variety of tasks involved in the operation and maintenance of the natural gas-fired, reciprocating engine electrical power generation plant and electrical distribution substations. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. One year experience performing work related tasks such as reciprocating engine power plant operation and maintenance, metal fabrication, pipe fitting, plumbing, or general construction practices is preferred. Schedule: Position requires working various shifts, on-call rotation for after-hours response duties, and may include overtime. Starting rate: $22.71-$28.25 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits package. A completed City of Stillwater application required for consideration. Under the direction of the Public Works Foreman, this Maintenance Worker is a non-exempt position under FLSA. This position helps operate and maintain department equipment, water and sewer lines, repairing streets. This employee shall assist the supervision of subordinate personnel, purchasing department equipment and supplies and daily operations of the department. This position will be a lead man on projects and is expected to take charge of the crew onsite.

Power Plant Operator

City of Kingman.  Operators control power generating equipment, using control boards or semi-automatic equipment, and record and compile operational data by completing and maintaining forms, logs, or reports. Additionally, the position monitors power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems and watch operating equipment to detect malfunctions.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a 2-year program, but the City will provide in-house training. Successful applicants must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, work in non-conditioned spaces, and climb stairs.

Director of Public Works

The Director of Public Works will be responsible for performing supervisory and administrative guidance related to the day-to-day operation of all facets of the Public Works Department. Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection Superintendent

The City of Ottawa, Kansas is recruiting for a Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection Superintendent. This position is responsible for directing the maintenance and construction of water and sewer lines for the City of Ottawa in order to improve the City water and wastewater systems and provide clean, potable water to all homes.
